As part of a plan to upgrade the D902 road and its thickness, the Villeneuve de Berg cultural center is being set up near the southern entrance to the town, close to schools and high schools. This cultural center project is in line with a development plan for the city, and would be the second project in this urban strategy. It aims to revitalize the neighborhood and enhance the exceptional landscape qualities of the site where it is located.


The entrance to the southern town of Villeneuve de Berg is marked by the great heterocity of its buildings. In this sense, there is a clear break in scale between the dense buildings in the center of the town and the loose suburban fabric. The project aims, through its location and architectural form, to weave a link between these two typologies. It acts as a transition between these two fabrics. The project also aims to requalify the residual spaces of the neighborhood, by offering its users public spaces with different atmospheres and universes.
